1.1 Explain the meaning and characteristics of the term 'information' in the context of library and information science. How the social science information can be grouped in different categories ? Illustrate with examples.

2.1 Define and explain information sources, information resources and information services. In the context of use and users of information, how the value of information services can be judged ?

3.1  Explain the factors that necessitate the provision of reference services in libraries.
